Structural adhesives are designed to meet a wide range of industrial bonding, sealing and assembly requirements. They provide high bond strength, long life and reliable results on a variety of materials and for a wide range of applications.
Instant adhesives are one-component, room temperature curing adhesives that are available in many different viscosities. They are usually used to produce fast, reliable, high-performance bonds with numerous materials in just a few seconds. They cure very quickly between two closely fitting surfaces and are used for bonding small to medium sized parts. Due to their limited gap-filling ability, they require precisely fitting surfaces. They have excellent adhesion to most materials and the bond strength under shear and tensile stress is very good.
Advantages of instant adhesives
Acrylates are mainly used for high force transmission, where they replace conventional mechanical joining techniques. Parts that are joined with acrylates form a material bond. Mechanical properties such as high strength, high shear modulus and high adhesion have proven themselves for a wide range of applications.
Advantages of acrylates
Epoxy resin adhesives are mainly used for high force transmission, where they replace conventional mechanical joining techniques. When parts are joined with epoxy resins, a material bond is created. Properties such as high strength, high shear modulus and high adhesion have proven themselves in practice, even in particularly demanding applications in the aerospace and automotive industries.
Advantages of epoxy resins
Contact adhesives are both solvent adhesives and dispersion adhesives that are processed using the contact bonding method. First, both bonding surfaces are coated with adhesive. The solvent/water is then allowed to evaporate. The adhesive surfaces are then joined together. Correction is no longer possible. The bond can be loaded immediately after joining. The final strength is achieved after a few days when the residual solvent has evaporated from the adhesive joint. They show good initial strength and achieve high final strength on different materials.
